Strap and Bracelet

When the box is opened, your eyes are immediatelly caught on the watch equipped with this very beautiful bracelet. The bracelet consists of a mix of polished and brushed links and looks absolutely perfect to me (I must admit that I did not see nor handle an IWC or Blancpain bracelet 'til now). On the inside all links are brushed only. With the bracelet the neccesarry weight is also added to the watch to make it a heavy dude, I like that. Although the watch is 16mm thick and approx. 140gr in weight it feels very good on the wrist. Actually I don't know if 'comfortable' is the appropriate description - 'present' might be.
The stainless steel bracelet is closed by a double folding clasp without a flip lock. It looks as if the ends of the bracelet are simply placed next to each other without any kind of clasp. To me this is an additional plus for the anyway beautiful 5 link bracelet. The operation of the bracelet, especially the closing, requires some practice if one is not familiar with double folding clasps. But after a few hours of heavy folding exercises you realize that it is not that difficult anymore, and that you gained some additional strength in your fingers.
Because there might exist some occasions when the bracelet won't be the appropriate accessory, Sinn added a 'bracelet-and-strap-replace-and-adjustment' tool, a nice black strap made of calfskin with a tang buckle, and two additional spring bars for the strap (they are thicker than those the bracelet is mounted with; I don't know why).
When removing the bracelet I was surprised by the first link, which wasn't a simple piece of hollow tin (as it is on the Sinn 303 and Sinn 103), but instead a solid piece of steel. I also removed the tang buckle which was initially mounted on the leather strap and replaced it with one of those great double folding deployant buckles from www.equationoftime.com. There is also a very good review about those deployant clasps on www.watchzone.net
I ordered the deployant buckles (One for me and one for my girlfriends watch) two weeks before I went to the Sinn factory to pick up the 'Finanzplatzuhr', only to be told by the Sinn salesman that they also offer double folded deployant buckles. Thank you for not mentioning that in the Sinn catalog. Their deployant buckles are without the push buttons for easy opening (they look very simmilar to the double folding clasp on the bracelet) but have the Sinn logo engraved and they are available with polished or brushed finish. I think the EOT buckles are more sophisticated and to verify that I ordered a polished Sinn buckle. Now with the leather strap, wearing the watch is real comfortable. And as we all know: black makes you look slim.

Dressed in the small black one she's even more a beauty, isn't she?
